GRE寫作備考如何梳理邏輯思路?

在拿到一個passage后，我們需要先梳理和分析題目本身的邏輯思路，也就是作者的邏輯思路，那么怎樣才能正確地梳理一個passage題目本身的邏輯思路呢?下面我們就結合下面這道真題，來和大家分享GRE寫作如何梳理邏輯思路?一起來看看吧!

1、精選真題

The following is a letter to the head of the tourism bureau on the island of Tria.

"Erosion of beach sand along the shores of Tria Island is a serious threat to our island and our tourist industry. In order to stop the erosion, we should charge people for using the beaches. Although this solution may annoy a few tourists in the short term, it will raise money for replenishing the sand. Replenishing the sand, as was done to protect buildings on the nearby island of Batia, will help protect buildings along our shores, thereby reducing these buildings' risk of additional damage from severe storms. And since beaches and buildings in the area will be preserved, Tria's tourist industry will improve over the long term."

Write a response in which you discuss what specific evidence is needed to evaluate the argument and explain how the evidence would weaken or strengthen the argument.

2、思路分析&梳理

拿到passage后，我們在做任何分析之前，需要梳理題目本身的邏輯思路(也就是作者的邏輯思路)。就這個passage本身的思路，我們做出如下的梳理：

1)作者首先明確一個事實： Erosion of beach sand 導致惡果：a serious threat to our island and our tourist industry。

2)于是，作者意圖 ：stop the erosion。

那么，作者的具體的辦法是：charge people for using the beaches。并且，從這里開始了一個邏輯鏈：

第一步：charge people for using the beaches (收費籌錢)，è replenishing the sand (有錢補沙)。這一步動作基于的理由是：this solution may annoy a few tourists in the short term。

這一步得到的結果：help protect buildings along our shores (補沙護樓)è reducing these buildings' risk of additional damage from severe storms (降低嚴重的暴風雨對樓的損害的風險)。作者認為可以得到這個理想的結果的理由是：replenishing the sand was done to protect buildings on the nearby island of Batia.

較后會得到的結果是：tourist industry will improve over the long term (沙灘和樓好了，旅游業就長期的好了)。

3)至此，作者的邏輯閉環形成。

只有當我們搞清楚passage的作者的思路的時候，才有可能仔細檢查每一個環節以及發現其中的問題：

3、質疑作者的思路

1) 第一步“收費籌錢”的理由有什么specific evidence作為依據么?文中并沒有說收多少錢、游客可能愿意付錢或者愿意付多少錢，憑什么就可以判定收錢只會在“短期內”惹惱“很小一部分游客”呢?萬一是“很大一部分游客”“很長時間內”因為收費而不來了呢?

2) 第一步得到的結果中，“補沙”真的可以實現“護樓”么?首先，有沒有specific evidence可以證明Batia的這個做法成功護樓了?畢竟文中只是說這樣做了，沒說成功。其次，就算Batia成功了，有沒有specific evidence說明Tria的情況和條件跟Batia一模一樣?畢竟僅僅靠nearby不足以說明這一點。

3) 同時，在第一步得到的結果中，僅僅靠“補沙”就可以實現“降低嚴重的暴風雨對樓的損害的風險”么?文中并沒有specific evidence說明樓受到嚴重的暴風雨損害的風險僅僅在于腳下的沙子穩不穩。嚴重的暴風雨會不會帶來樓宇的外立面的損害?大樓會不會受到漏雨漏風的損害(比如電路受潮引起火災)?這些都不是加固腳下的沙子就可以解決的風險。

4) 較后的結論處，“沙灘和樓好了，旅游業就長期的好了”。有沒有specific evidence證明Tria已經其它各個方面都做到位了，就差沙子要補，樓要護了?萬一有其它方面才是更需要進步的呢?同時，萬一整個旅游業不景氣呢?那Tria做什么也沒用吧。
